Believe In Magic

A repost

Sometimes the world is so cold,

Keeping the fire of compassion burning

Can take a whole lot of magic,

The trick is to find the correct wand.

When you feel you can’t fall further

Pull a rabbit out of the hat

So it can lead you down its hole

And show you the true meaning of darkness.

All it takes is a slight of love’s hand

To show a pent up heart a way out of the box,

And that those feelings of being lost

Are nothing more then smoke and mirrors.

So the secret behind this illusion is simple,

Believe in magic so magic can believe in you.

Wow, this reinstates my belief in magic >.< Well, I must be honest, I never lost it. But this is definatley an inspiring piece of literature.

What a wonderfully delightful treat this poem is. I particularly liked these lines:

The last line is great too. I think magic is everywhere, we just need to learn to see it and appreciate it.

What a sentimental concept! So many (including myself) stop believing. Sometimes its important to remember that reality much of the time is just slight of hand, and smoke and mirrors...and the darkness we feel in it can burst into light at any given moment. This was a magical write, and a nice reminder to awaken the child inside! :)
