Winter Rescue

Frozen dreams cover

            Silent screams

Heed the warning about judging a book by its cover,

The greatest conspiracies seep from the cracks in the mind.

Using unguarded memories to keep the fight alive,

Not allowing bloody footprints to

            Ice over!!

S.O.S. is not a warning as much as it is a destiny

That forever will >>>  Follow me?

Using the past to justify the now,
and the future.
Unguarded memories,
keep the ship's wounds open,
its scab removed over and over
handed down to young minds,
in order to keep its infection alive...
Don't look in the eyes of
history and leave me here to bleed!
No healing is found.

So we call out ...

Save Our Ship!
We are sinking....
in an ocean of greed
hate,
suffering...
infection!

Oh, men of love and peace,
We send out the signal again...
PLEASE....
Save Our Ship!

Excellent, brilliant work!!

While this piece has many elements, I'm going to select one.
The, "Don't judge a book by its cover."
Hmmm.... always hated that one. People assume they know. They think they know. They presume to know.
They know nothing.
They only want to SEE what THEY WANT. Never taking into consideration what you really are, or who.
Misrepresented. I dislike being misrepresented.
I like pieces like this that have such varying elements. Different levels of intensity.
The reader can break it apart as did I, and take what they want from the writing.
They can connect to the writer in a multitude of ways.
Perhaps its just one facet but, its a beginning.
Good job sweetie!

forever will follow me.

there's many layers to this poem. and i like how you illustrate that visually with the various different fonts. i usually dont find that font changes aids in anything with a piece, but it definitely works here. :)

"The greatest conspiracies seep from the cracks in the mind."

fantastic line. really great line :)

Is this your subconcious mind threatening to save you from yourself? I love the mystery within the write here! "S.O.S. is not a warning as much as it is a destiny" The screams seep out those cracks...they seep out from under the frozen dream tundra-- the screams longing to be heard, these dreams WILL be realized! I hear em already! COOL write my friend!
