Sweet Memories Are Only In My Dreams

Sweet Memories Are Only In My Dreams

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Dreaming of memories

that never really happened

as I’m delightfully haunted

by the ghostly touches

I’ve longed for you to give.

Often I find myself

inside in another world

wrapped in your thighs

that inspires my fantasy

of dying with a smile.

Your lips are the gold

at the end of a rainbow

as I feel like the riches man

feeling them lock into

a single breath with mine.

I wish upon a shooting star

that is your tender arms

when wrapped around me

make me feel like I’m flying

among the heavenly bodies.

So again tonight I a wait

for sleep to arrive knowing

I’ll be happy and sad

dreaming of memories

that never really happened.

Extremely well written- the concept- everything about this writing is written to height
I felt the images to possess that certain shade of midnight blue-magic's passionate shade
this is masterful work-in my honest opinion something like this should be booked
and sold. what i like is the way your words end and create the next scene playing
off the previous line break-I style i've come to favor- romance to sweep a woman's hearts.

This is fantastic. It seems while I was away your work picked up a beautiful melancholy twist to it with a longing for someone...Whatever it is, it is fantastic... : )

interesting mix in this one, it is almost wistful in spots...but I had to smile at the concept of dying with a smile...
Nicely done, gentle dreamfilled poetry.

Wow. And ... ouch.

Very touching and beautiful poem. The ones we want but cannot have.... been there done that, as have many. I think all of us actually, can relate to this.
