Rope The Thunder, Ride The Lightning

Rope The Thunder, Ride The Lightning

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Distant rumble

Undeniable anticipation

Feeling it shake

The solid ground

I firmly stand on.

Never losing grip

On the lasso

Holding tight

To bring it back

Enjoying the challenge

To fence it in.

I’M ROPING THE THUNDER

TO KEEP MY HEART BEATING.

Raise my hands

To bring on the challenge

Embracing the strike

Electrifying my bones

That holds me like a rock.

Still locked in tight

High up in this saddle

With firm grip

Moving in harmony

Feeling the satisfaction

In keeping stride.

I’M RIDING THE LIGHTNING

TO KEEP MY SOUL SHINING.

This is an interesting and positive write! It shows that eventhough thunder and lightning can be a challenge and in my humble opinion extremely terrifying... one can handle it and keep moving foward!
Making it through the challenge... yet strong enough to keep the soul shining!

Fabulous ink!

Written with the voice of a true cowboy.
I like the fight in this poem.
Of course, the mind can go a little sensual here, but I know this write was less about Viagra and more about sticking firm to a challenge.
Yet beyond just "roping it in" I felt the take home was to enjoy the ride as well. Without that triumphant ride the fight was wasted...
Very wonderfully written. I can see why you have so many fans here.

Thank you so much, glad you liked it... Never realized I even had fans.
All I can see here is sex. 'Tied up Tuesday' does that to me. Ha! Angi~

I can handle that, thank you.
A great fantasy write, I also thought of holding up during tough times while reading this. Impressively worded Dale.

You are welcome.
I love the thunder, Dale - I always sit at the sofa and watch it when we have it. I just love it, hahaha. I remember when I was young I would sit by the window, with my teddy and sweets, and watch the thunder and lightning. :) Nicely done.

Actually no, hadn't heard of her when I wrote this.
Wow Dale, I think the earth moved with your thunderous romp here, great imagery, I love thunderstorms, only the cowboy could lasso one!

Powerful imagery, with the metaphorical blend of nature and wildness of the west. Gripping tight to what you desire... what you believe in. Lifting write in every way!
