The WeathermanA Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
I could see the dark clouds before they came
Hovering over me and darkening my day.
Making my vision on everything so dreary
Till nothing in nature looked beautiful.
I could smell the rain before it fell
Weighing me down in its torrential fury
Soaking my burdens till they are to heavy
To be carried around anymore.
I could feel those bitter northern winds
Slapping me in the face with primal force
Making me feel like I was being punished
For all of mankind’s sins.
Though I sensed this storm coming
Like the weatherman
I never predicted
It would actually happen.
Though I heard the words goodbye
Like thunder rumbling in my heart
When the words came
It was like lightening electrocuting my soul.
