Lunar Lust To Sunrise Love

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy

Love and lust can coexist.

Wind swept silence

Is the heated breath rising

Between two bodies entwined.

Bad moon rising

Echoes the erotic sighs

Being sung to heaven

In the form of a lover’s kiss.

Twilight touches

Glide seductively across

Nervous silhouettes

Tingling in anticiation.

Never have two shadows

Illuminated the beauty

Of the moon cascading

Off the sea

Till love and lust created

Their perfect picture.

This lunar serenade

Is the rhythmic beating

Of two hearts racing

To naked memories

Yet to be made.

Though every moment

Will be like the sunrise,

Slow and steady,

Guaranteed to be there

Everyday.

Lust comes naturally with a deep love. To pause in the moment to absorb the emotion and feel the bodies reactions to the closeness of the one you most desire. The rythmn of the heartbeat sets the pace for what is about to transpire between two that are locked in a solitary embrace. So closely melded together that the naked skin has become one with a singular point of focus. The fulfillment of the burning desire to own each other even if it is for one night. The memory will linge and follow through the sunrise day after day. Beautiful and sensual writing from the heart of the poet's pen of desire.
