After The Crash

After The Crash

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

In the midst of the wreckage

are scattered pieces of the truth

that can be used to rebuild

the salvation of forgotten lies.

For just as there is beauty in the beast

doubled is the beast within the beauty.

when grace becomes a bitter pill to swallow

you choke on the taste of forgiveness;

the effect may take awhile to set in

but the end result will feel like

a lover’s last kiss before drifting off

into the sweet abyss of eternal dreams.

There broken glass is a million diamonds

and broken hearts are budding roses.

This is - one word - EPIC!
This is a surreal piece...reminds me of ancient civilisations along with the moral of "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger."
Feeding off each other..lies..contradictions..double edged sword...
So many elements to this!
One of your best love!

Post it on AB too? (wink wink lol)

Love you hon

xoxo

Amazing poetry! loved all the dark issues, and things you brought on . Also the contradictions, and devilish things in it. So very powerful! thank you for sharing.

Stellar, exceptionally stellar.

The tattooed Frankenstein led me here, and as I expected, I was not disappointed.

What a powerful image this creates.. a magical metaphor of the world coming undone... the fallings lives... the lingering recollections.. Amazing that even in this pain, there is a stream of hope flowing through.

Without pain how can there be great joy. Without times of weakness how can we grow in strength. There is beauty in the darkness sometimes and that is what this poem say to me. Sometime when we know we are wrong forgiveness is a bitter pill to swallow because we feel as if we don't deserve to be forgiven. Great thought provoking write.
