Out Of Tune, Not Time

Out Of Tune, Not Time

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

My body numbs

as a counteraction

to the tingling sensation

that plays my spine

like an out of tune fiddle.

Refusing to dance

to music composed

by what can not be seen.

Hell may be the capital

I was born in

but the devil is not

my President.

Let his fire burn

all around me,

I will use it as

my guiding light.

At the end of the journey

I may be nothing but ashes

but at least I will be lighter

than the stones thrown at me.

What I love about this brilliant piece Dale, is that you did felt pure poetry in your heart, and it came out. Maybe you where born as you describe in the capital, but your love for the world and your strength raises higher, than hate, and inner evil. And you are lighter than some of those stones the weaker ones throw at you. As your path is your world and will take considerable further than the most.

Can imagine you surrounded by a crowd of eager listeners taking in everything you have to say. And, you, standing there, quietly confident, meaning every single word, speaking from your heart. Wonderful stuff, Dale.
