The Weeping Wife

The Weeping Wife

A Poem by Katherine S.

Lord help the man that puts his hands on what I love
They will feel the rage and tears
The ones I've endured all these years.

I will not be the victim
You will not see me cry
I've spent too many years asking why.

I have rose to see you fall
Don't you remember what you said
When you thought I was dead?

''Poor excuse of a w***e
I should've wasted you when I first laid eyes on you.''
You may never know that is so very true.

Hold your breath, love
The pain will only last a lifetime
Because I watch you on the sidelines.

You will see my face
Each time you look in the mirror
And let's not forget the trigger.

A very deep poem, I really enjoyed your method of story telling it had me hooked, and I got scared approaching the end of the poem because I wanted to read more, the rhyme scheme was spot on. Great job
