Ode to Cows

Cows your have always been an inspiration in my life.

Your majestic posture, and the way you lick my fingers

From the day you were born you brought a smile to my face

Cows, you taught me responsibility

You taught me how to wake up at 5am and stay up until 10pm

To care and love you

Cows, you sucked on my fingers until they were as wrinkled as an old ladies

You taught me not to be afraid of getting dirty

You taught me to tolerate slobber

Cows, you taught me that haveing my hair eaten is not a good feeling

Nor is being head butted

Yet you taught me that all animals have their own personality

 

One day I said good-bye to you

As they took you far away in a trailer

A month later you were back,

Lifeless

And on my dinner plate

While we had some good times together along time ago,

We can still have those good times

You can still care for me by giving me the strength and energy I need to live

Thank you cows, for always loving me

Whether by flicking your tail in my yeard,

Or sitting on my dinner plate.

Animals in general are my life. Cows are special cause since I was about 7, I've gotten my own cow about every two years to take care, and I've worked on a dairy so they really do mean a lot to me. :) This whole poem came from true experiences. Thank you so much for reviewing!

Wow haha this is good in an almost creepy way, I like it! The only things I feel the need to point out are a few spelling/grammar mistakes. Here you go:

"Cows your have always been an inspiration in my life."---your should be you

"Cows, you taught me that haveing my hair eaten is not a good feeling"----haveing should be having

"Nor is being head butted"----headbutted is one word.

"One day I said good-bye to you"-----goodbye is one word.

Hilarious! I am quite fond of cows on my plate :P Will you thank your cows for me? :) Though honestly my favorite animal to eat is pigs, but I'm not quite fond of them when their alive :)

Quite amusing kinda. But in a way it tells us something that we dont think about. I beleive that everyone has a kind of animal they feel connected to. Mine is horses, but yours could be cows, i dont know. This one helped me think how special a certain animal can be.
