washing my hands

washing my hands

A Poem by deathcabxcutiex
"

not quite sure... random bits from an old piece combined with newer thoughts

"

put the pen
to the paper
and press the envelope
with my fingers
on the keys
I play this tune for you
ignorance and arrogance
are what you're about
lying, your favorite pastime
I wanna learn
how to be like you
tell me please
so I can catch your disease
until you share
I'll let it happen
wait for the break
in the dam
that'll free fury like a flood
pleading for atonement
you will be left
to bleed out
I don't wanna know you
right now
but make sure
you show me your scars
sometimes things change
and I do, too

Wow. I guess I don't really have anything constructive to share - just, wow! I love it.

i liked where you said "Can i catch you disease" but you made it postive. Creative.

this is throughout just beautiful** from start to finish-

"I don't wanna know you
right now
but make sure
you show me your scars"

a truthful, heartfelt/ugly/and eager statement..your words few with such deep meaning**
I particularly liked that section;)

thanks for the read-
great piece-
