Man of a thousand faces!

Our planet is much different than earth in appearance.

It is round of course, as is the circular motions of life.

Brilliant in swirling colors of orange, pink and green.

The atmosphere sustains life in the same manner as earth.

We have thirteen moons and a galaxy of stars.

Our life forms are similar, our customs much different.

All of our creatures interact with one another,

this is essential to our existance.

We are soon to enjoy our annual holiday festival,

which in earth time would be every five years.

The festival is held in honor of our creator,

A dreamer of a thousand faces.

Our mountains hold treasures of precious metals and stones.

Our rivers run through the center, where we gather,

at festival time each being bringing a gift of wonder ,

a gift of peace, and a gift of hope

Wonder is for the children and their innocense,

Peace is for the elders and their great wisdom,

Hope is for the future generations and their welcome.

Each moon circling our planet has it own particular hue.

With rainbow swirls of  blue, green , lavendar.

Each child brings the gift of wonder, words spoken.

Each elder brings the gift of wisdom, words spoken.

All of us bring the gift of hope, which is unconditional love.

We decorate all of our trees, as they die and are reborn,

every five years, reminding us of their love for us.

As it seems befitting , we nurture them from seedlings,

which take a whole year to grow a single tree,

from seedling to adulthood,

Our trees represent our children, our ancestors,

and our future generations.

Much like earth's trees, they sustain our life here,

and we pay tribute to them during our dreaming festival.

We live in adobes and tent-like structures,

which are healthy to our environment.

Sort of a gypsy-nomad existance.

We enjoy one sun the same as earth,

Though we have thirteen planets.

Being the thirteenth planet from our sun.

So we celebrate on the 13th day of every 13th moon.

Our festival is beautiful and earthlings are invited,

to particpate in the honoring

of the man of a thousand faces festivities.

Bring your children and your children's children,

Be sure to bring the gifts with you.

Wonder, wisdom and hope.

Se la vi !

well i enjoyed it, but i fear that it had a very Sci-Fi feel to it and i also think that on a scale of one to ten, it fit in the fantasy genre very poorly about a 2, so i am going to say good write, yet not what I'm looking for.
