A letter to Bobby

A letter to Bobby

Dear Bobby, Rest well in your slumber tonight, my beloved son. For the fiersest of lightning has struck my heart, shattered my very soul, my inner being. I will not drown in a sea of regrets. This has not hit me yet. So send in the thunder from up above, show me love! Let it storm today, let it rain, make it hail! For I am in such travail. Let it storm! Let it rain! Wash away my hatred, my vengeance, my pain. The pain that only a mother can feel at a time like this. Take from me this cup, oh Lord. Let this not be real! Let me feel! Oh but this is reality! Not a dream nor a nightmare that all of us; your family and friends have been forced to share. Let this bring us together in spirit and in deed. Today, let us celebrate your life in our mourning that not even death, can take away those precious memories of you. I love you Bobby. Oh Bobby, please come back to me. As a cool breeze on the hottest of summer's days! Be my fire on the coldest of winter's nights! Walk with me this extra mile. For I shall always remember the way you smile. Help us all, your family and friends, for all have been here for us and for you to the bitter end. Help us Bobby, to make amends. Give our lives for a friend. Please come back to me when I look and glance out to the sea. For I cry me a river of tears. For all the tomorrow's you will not be here. Robert live through us today. Breathe through me for I am your mother. Just breathe. Show me the reason you've been taken away on such a lovely, beautiful day. Light a match! Light a candle! Light a torch! Light a campfire for me tonight. For this heartache just don't seem right.
