She waits

She waits

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Like a porcelain doll she sits

beneath a mighty tree

in the center of a stone laid circle

an ancient ruins be

A young maiden waits

a flower in her hand

As the sea washes upon the shore

revealing a stairway to the oceans floor

A forgotten city lies beneath these waves

As she breathes in the freshest air

A sea breeze ruffles her golden hair

Her lovely dress as blue as her eyes can be

as blue as the sky as blue as the sea

She waits for thee

Lovely. I like how you wove details from the picture together into a seamless whole. Very nice indeed. Thank you so much for participating in the contest. :)
