The Coffee Shop Drive In

 

The coffee shop is always open to passers by

Coffee brewed just the way you like it steaming hot

Shop at the store then stop on by for a cup of java or two

Drive on up to our Drive In if you have the time the weather's fine

In our coffee shop you're sure to make many friends

T he coffee shop is the place to be

H aving long talks with all of our friendly servers

E venings and mornings we're always open to greet you

 

C an dance if you like while you play the jukebox

O rder a dinner or a desert if you like

F rench fries, a cheeseburger and a coke that's our specialty

F riends meet here all the time and make new friends too

E verybody makes themselves at home at our diner

E ach customer we leave satisfied

 

S o come on down to our coffee shop when you get the chance

H ope to see you soon during the week

O r on the weekend

P erhaps everyday of the week

I enjoy a cup of coffee more than I should. In fact, I am waiting on that first cup of the morning right now. your two poems make me want it all the more. I like how you used the word rather than the letter for the acrostic in the first one.
