A ll I want for Christmas you can't find in any store

L et there be peace on Earth, goodwill toward men

L et the war cease to be and our soldiers come marching home

 

I  pray for them every day and every night

 

W ith all of my heart

A nd all of my soul

N ot a day goes by

T hat I don't wish this to be so

 

F ood for thought

O n this Christmas Eve

R emembering the soldiers who are fighting for you and for me

 

C hristmas is a time for giving to others and the soldier gives his all

H e marches on through the storm's of war

R eaches beyond his call of duty to keep us free

I  s steadfast and strong, brave and true

S o let us pray together as a nation

T hat the war come to an end

M ay the lord bless our soldiers and bring them home soon

I know one thing. That guy who threw his shoe at our US President, can thank our soldiers who fought and died for their freedoms. His head would be laying on the ground if he'd thrown a shoe at Saddam. I am so proud of our soldiers. I loved your poem honoring them.
