Fond Memories

Fond Memories

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

I actually enjoyed myself

Somewhat today

Went fishing with my daughter

It was a beautiful spring day

Fond memories we made

As the catfish jumped and played

The sun was shining with a few dancing clouds

The air was fresh and crisp

No rain until tomorrow

No pain

No sorrow

Funny thing about the weather

It's so much like life itself

No one can predict how it will turn out

Like today for instance

I wasn't feeling quite well

Just wanted to stay home and sulk

Sleep my troubles away

But for once

I let go of my worries

Decided to go fishing instead

Even though

The weather forecast for tomorrow

Called for rain and snow flurries

All in all

It was a lovely day

As fond memories we made

Fishing is great therapy--I hope to do a little of it soon myself.

The value of fishing. My father is still an avid fisher. I never realized the value of fishing until a friend insisted we go fishing. The water lapping at the rocks along the jetty, the sun, the light winds, and a floating cork. :)

I'm glad you ahd a good visit.

Cheers!
Doc.

There ya go. It is heartening and refreshing to read something of yours not mournful.

I can certainly relate. Many a time, just having activities planned with a friend or lover is just what the doctor ordered to counter the weight of sorrow.

Good change of pace.

Glad I read this on Monday... a beautiful moment captured in time, it is those simple moments that keep us sane... very positive and joyful write.

Sounds like a wonderful day. Now, when's the fish fry? Should I bring the ham? :)

never know what can happen when we decide to step outside. It's always a pleasant suprise when such a great day happens upon us. Glad you decided to step outside and leave your worries inside. Gotta try for the good moments every once in a while. Makes the rain a little easier to endure. Lovely write.

the best joy in life is to melt with nature around you..if you love it so much
it will love you back and you will see how content you be..
and how a great joy you feel, never enclose on yourself
and say i will sink my pains in ,no they will make you sink with them
in a very dark pit,so always open yourself to life, and feel the
small joys that it gives you..
lovely write..

Wonderful, wonderful. I'm so happy that you and your daughter went fishing. Making memories is wonderful. But you didn't bring me back any fish...

Wonderful write Debileah
