My Life

My Life

A Poem by Olivier
"

The morality of the way society works now. Is everything as just as it seems? Should all work be fair?

"

You start with your life planned out

A clear path from birth to death

A taboo fence keeping you on this path.

Tag, hide and go seek, homework, friends, crushes, tests, teachers, vacations, family, grades, colleges, money, jobs, families, houses, careers, and then some more vacations till you drop.

Basically, you learn how to work.

But what if I don’t want to work?

Is help the same as work?

What if I want to ponder the world and write books about the worlds hardest questions

What if I want to research the Higgs Boson Particle to create systems that help the human race

What if I want to help people order food

Cut hair…

Watch stars…

Grow food…

Etc…

What is work. What is help. What is the difference.

Your life may be planned out. If you don’t change your direction, may end up where your heading.

Your heading to the end of life. To a death bed in a house with a wife and a few kids

No

Im not heading there

I will forge my own path

I will cut down that taboo fence.

I will venture into the unknown.

I will find a new path

A better path.

A different path.

One that can lead others.

One that shows people a different view.

So you see

Your life is up to you

People may box you in

They may control you

They may force you

And punish you

And yell at you

But in the end, its up to you to discover your own path

To prove them wrong

To follow your dream

Because in the end…

Its Your Life
