By Your Side

By Your Side

A Poem by Phillitup

Never leaving
Always changing
Watching your days
Pass by me
While I'm here
And my life is waiting
For me
I'm supporting you
But you don;t turn to help me
Why
I have no clue
Leaving me like that
I should just leave you
I'm gone
I've decided
I will live my own life
And not by your side

I don't know exactly why I wrote this, but I did. I've never really felt like this before. I've never had a chance to but for some reason I was just inspired.

Oh wow, this is really great! I can totally relate to this. There's an ex-boyfriend of mine that I always supported and was there for. But in return all he did was hurt me and flirted with every single girl that he came in contact with. See, I haven't changed but he's the one that's been doing all of the changing. Maybe the reason you wrote this is to help some people on this website with these issues, to relate and realize that they need to decide to let go of that person. Again, you done an excellent job! :)

"I'm gone
I've decided
I will live my own life
And not by your side."----Wow! Strong words! I love it :P

It is hard to be there for someone with everything you have and then they never return the favor. It is hard to give and never have that given back to you. Great piece!

This poem is well written because it carries a message which is handed to the reader in the most simplest of ways.
There is a quench in this poem. A quench to release the feelings which are spoken about (in this poem).
Just try to keep a rhythm. Try to tap your nails while reading this piece. If you can catch a tune then you know you did a good job.

This makes me think of the protagonist as a parent, or friend who's friend/child is selfishly taking advantage of the protagonist who is the parent/friend, so, the protagonist has finally had enough and left said other person.
This poem seems like a great encouragement to people who are being used like that, telling them to step up and live their life.
Well done, I like this one and the picture is pretty cute. ^^

This concept is a normal progression in our lives. A healthy independence and self realization.

This is so sad! But this is a good poem. It makes me think of that Wolf guy. Thanks; I enjoyed it.
