Fun with Psychotropic Meds and their side effects

I have to take my happy pills
The Doctor gave me some
So I sit and play with myself
A wallflower I have become

My dick don't work
My junk shriveled up
I can't go out in the sun

But I'm a model citizen now
  I'm normal like everyone

Nice little pill makes me mellow
so I wouldn't hurt a fly
I'm having narcoleptic seizures
and my sex drive went bye bye

My tongue turned black
My balls turned blue
I see spots before my eyes

But I'm easy to get along with
A regular doormat kind of guy

Just take your meds as prescribed
and you'll be as happy as a lark
that's what the MD told me
and now my a*s glows in the dark

My hands they shake
My feet they quake
An Erection I can't start

But I'm so easy to relate to
Because there's nothing in my heart

So if you have extreme emotions
They'll label you with a disorder
They'll give you medication
To keep your a*s in order

They'll put you in group therapy
So you can feel like a f*****g tool
Telling a bunch of weirdos
All the crazy crap you do

My butt's plugged up
My scrotum sweats
Vowels I can't pronounce

But now I'm emotional pablum
and that's the only thing that counts

This is true, show emotion in this world and you are labeled with some disorder. I grew up never crying at all, and boy did that kick me in my a*s when i turned thirteen. Twelve years of never crying it all cam at me in one lump sum, so now i can burst out crying at the drop of a dime. Great poem, i enjoyed the read.

they say the drugs that really work well are illegal, because the government doesn't really want happy people. it wants messed up people who think they're happy and are too preoccupied to mess with political s**t........ i'm not sure if i believe that or not. nice poem dude.

What is fascinating about this is that even though you say you are "emotional pablum" there is a current of anger that runs throughout that is very clear. Also focusing on body sensations as the emotional sensations are numbed is a good way of bringing into focus the effects of these medications.
