Fist Full of Pope

Fist Full of Pope

A Poem by Baby Ricochet
"

This one's a little weird and possibly offensive. Well, maybe.

"
Fist full of pope swings slings and rope
He'll slap your a*s around
He drive's Da Vinci's Ministry
When he throws down in town

Drinking gin and Jesus juice
He rides a wood commode
Got penance for parishioners
Jujitsu choking hold

Fist full of pope he drops the soap
then knocks you to the mat
He'll crush you with his crucifix
He's reformation phat

He's rolling up the pope mobile
He's got the rag top down
He's selling off the silverware
at six pence for a pound

Fist full of pope swing from his rope
Confessions with a noose
Catholicism's vengeance man
Saint Vitus on the loose

He's got torpedoes in his tubes
He's buck shot barrel full
His howitzer is homing in
He's bare brass knuckles full

Fist full of pope there is no hope
He's got your final ride
Breaking out with barrels blazing
He's gonna have your hide

Fist full of pope

found it fascinating actually - and very humorous with a great bite. I have to admit I misread it and at first glance saw "Fist full of poop" - shows you where my brain is I guess. Like so many of your poems - the wit hides a greater truth. Well done.

I like the artwork and direct language. I have a real catholic wife. I have to be polite about the pope. A very entertaining poem.

Pope Francis is okay. Fist full of pope isn't about him. It's just some crazy s**t I made up. It was.. read more
Well, you can't get much more Catholic than me, and I am not offended - though I agree that this one is a bit weird. Entertaining, though! :)

It was inspired by the Godzilla movie. I'd seen it that day at the dollar movies.
For such an influential figure, the corruption is astounding - in many, many ways....still, most influential figures are corrupt and negative energy and humanity feeds their ego and lick their soles...why? Liked this x

Thank you Ruth
It doesn't have as much "flow" as it could ;-) It was a little herky-jerky, even for you. I screamed it in my head (which I usually do with your pieces *laugh*) and I got the general idea (I think) but I had to stop myself from rapping it xD At one point I thought organized religion was bad, then I got the feeling it was okay...not sure what's going on here...lemme read it again...

Okay. Six pence? Six pennies (in American) for a pound...does that mean a pound as in weight or a pound as in English money...if the latter, why English money in this poem? Six pence for a pound (English money) sounds like Obamanomics xD Six pence for a pound of beef is a good deal ;-)

This doesn't sound like you've been playing in the medicine cabinet as much as it sounds like you're at your rope's end with religion (p.s. the best use of "The Pope" in modern culture is Black Sabbath circa 1971 "...Would you like to see the Pope on the end of a rope, do you think he's a fool...?") Basically, what you're feeling isn't new ;-)

Nice work, though. Work on that flow.

xoxo

My pleasure. Did you hear me?
nah this poems dope, loved it and so true, last I read that guy was selling off the silverware for real, giving his brother all kinds of power he didn't need to have, Its sad that the representatives representin' isn't what they represent. The pope is embarrassing his flock, the presidents are hand puppets, the people have no real representation and they all just hatin', no taxation without representation, time for another tea party lol, love the mad hatter!

As sacrilegious of me it is to say this, I've always found dogmas to be hilarious, if not frustrating, especially when others believe their dogma applies to those who don't believe in it as well. Sadly, I fail to grasp a few of your references since I have not been raised a Catholic nor do I have any knowledge of its rituals or beliefs (besides the basics), but I still found this piece quite hilarious. Well done!

Generally I don't get involved in religion or politics. Between them they are the cause of all wars on the planet.
This was amusing though.
Well done pal.
