SQUEAZING

SQUEAZING

A Poem by D. L. Hutson

Heart broken

Everything stolen.

That devil won't quit

But I wont be licked.

He must not know

that God won't let me go.

God gently pulls and leads me

But old satan keeps on squeazing

I won't lie, some times I find it's the Lord

testing my faith and strengthening my sword

Either way, it's all for my good

And the devil just has to be withstood.

It's easier said than done I realize

Cause the devil's tactics are hard to recognize.

But because God's love and truth are in me

I know He will not deceive me.

I know me, God sustains and keeps

he's always watching cause he never sleeps

And even though some battles are lost

I know victory is mine, cause Jesus paid the cost.
