The Beach

The Beach

A Poem by denise
"

the body is beautiful

"

Skin, shining, slick and bare,

Molten honey,

Curled hair, wet and dripping

Muscles, flexed and firm,

Corded and ridged, define my gaze,

As they ripple and move like fluid bronze

A god in his element,

The sea,

threatening ,

confronting ,

waves rolling off him,

Ever daring to challenge his authority,

A greek statue transformed to life,

His beauty, his strength,

in sculptured planes

Radiates  strength,

Creates an urge to touch

Ignites a desire,

A need

A longing

Awesome descriptive powers you possess. Glad to have visited.

Oh to live somewhere hot. I've got a longing to take 15 lairs of clothes off. I'll hit the gym tonight, to get hot.

A pleasing reflection on the essential elements of a beach, with a clever choice of human attributes. The double entendre adds to the pleasure of reading this piece.
