Sundown

Sundown

A Poem by S.F
"

Watching the night materialise.

"
Hazy wide horizon
Of clear liquid lake
Mirroring the sea of clouds
Scattered far far away

Rays of pink wink
And bleed into the sky
Firmament of pearl blue
Sink deeper for the night

Empyrean burnt brute
To be consumed just then
Shades of red and blue
Swallowed by emptiness

And just when you think
Darkness ruled henceforth
Lights lantern the sky
Hanging, dancing from above

Telling ancient tales
Of monsters and thrones
Singing cradlesongs
Of lost times and thoughts

Peace cradles and lulls
Those who listen by
Mending soul and body
As waking dreams materialize

Moon dreams of the sun
As it sleeps throughout day
Except these rare desperate times
When it eclipses to steal glimpses

As he ponders why
The bright sun always shys
When the moon passes by
With a bouquet of wild stars
Foiled in the darkest wrap

Wow I am breathless ! :0 You did such a great job with this one- honestly, wow. The pictures you painted in my mind are really neat- you always have such great visuals and descriptive words that really tie together well. I could really get the story of this one- very well written!

And thank you for reading! :)
An interesting combination of nature and anthems here and yes once upon a time befre Persophony or Perephone if one wants to be in line the the greeks nature was imbued by god like creatures and nature responded to their commands. Something that Hades would manage to interrupt but not in this writing. As nature seems once more related to us and all manifestations seem entangled in some form of human emotion.

Wisdom and beauty

Thankyou
