nagging ghosts

I roam

In a trance

Like a ghost

In the hallways

I have a shell

That you try to break

But I hold it strong

Stop reaching out

I’m doing it

For your safety

It’s something

I can’t control

People jeering

Staring

It’s a daily routine

Say I talk to imaginary

People

But they are there

I see them!

Why can’t you

Those stares burn into your brain

They never leave you

Looks of disbelief, shock

And cruel smiles

I’m dangerous

Don’t reach out

Jokes about me needing

Strait jackets

You think it’s funny

But it hurts

Real deep

Say I’m talking to walls

And stare into space

Yea I’m a freak so

You wanna fix it fine

As I told you

I’m dangerous

I cannot be responsible

For your stupidity

Those taunts stay with me forever

Just nagging you

Right behind you
