yr the starburst thru argyle nebulae

thru ionized steppes of lozenges

thru intergalactic reclining 

yr caramel contorted arabesque

cast crepuscular aurous insigne on angels’ wings

twilit serifs cut into that keptsake humidor

turned pandora’s box of tokens and plunges

opals, bronze circlets of ivy, topaz halos

I get zoologic shock like exiled goodall remembrances:

notes from Trinidad, le republique francaise

ganesha statuaries, motley safari and eggshell soaps

burning lavender, cranberry-scented candles

Shiner Birthday beers, artisanal cheeses in bed

stolen versicolor mannequins, vintage jazz-era handbags

fae dusks played punk at people

yr melodies sgraffito over grating noise

spirits harmonizing to brine

our gay duets had internecine joys

you fruitfully referred to our fringe as rind

let’s get into confusion

spiraling, sanguine, lysergic

beneath anonymous dispositions
