The Awakening

The Awakening

A Poem by Audrey Howitt
"

A poem about . . .

"

Tears fall                                    Unfettered dreams

Rivers run                                    Darkness abates

Whispered cries                           Laments unfold

Deepening sorrow                        Alabaster hardens

Sighs fall                                     Breezes soften

Sleep deepens                              Dreams subside

Crevice opens                               Light flits

Swallows me                                 Ears open

Whole                                           Wide

Stillness                                       Stillness

                            I am

                          Awake

All is duality-duality all is.
You composed your song well, Audrey..
*"I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow"
A reminder of this, is your poem,
Which I loved.
