Lazily I Lie

Lazily I Lie

A Poem by MerylDivya
"

An Acrostic

"

Lavish me with false flattery

Am I so naive?

Zesty, peppered sorcery

I pretend that you believe

Look, it's not what you see

Yes it's true, we are both thieves

I do not admit to a thing

Let's lay silent for hours

I simply refuse to sing

Ever tell a lie that sours?

very well done...it's nice to read an Acrostic poem and not even realize it is...
i like the idea of both being thieves....stealing moments together...but yes, let's be silent...words can be shallow and spoil the moments...because if they speak of commitment, they can be liars.

Creative writing and art are my pastimes. I'd love to put together a book but I enjoy poetry more than novel writing and there is not a current market for poetry books. Too bad and so sad. I have a de.. more..
