Centralia, PA

A Poem by Dug
"

Centralia is the site of a mine fire that's been burning underground since the 60s. It's almost completely uninhabited now, and the smoke coming from underground almost makes like look like the town is crying.

"

my mind is cracked my heart is broken and torn
and it feels like we’ve been burning since we were born

the wreckage that you left still lies for miles
i can’t bring myself to clean up the piles

Sometimes I can't tell if you really want me to stay
so i keep hanging around like the ghosts of Centralia, PA

i’m clinging to a past that was never real
i’m lingering while no one else is here

i’m waiting til my mistakes go away
so i keep hanging around like the ghosts of Centralia, PA

About
A lot of what's on here are song lyrics (plus a few random short stories when my imagination wanders). I write music, but I've been trying to focus on the lyrical side of things. Words and music when.. more..
