The Symphony of Nature

The Symphony of Nature

A Chapter by Debbie Barry

Written in 7th grade, a poem about nature and balance.

The Symphony of Nature

May, 1982

As I sit out in the garden
I can hear a lovely sound.
The symphony of nature
Surrounds me, all around.
The symphony of nature
Is the song of birds and wind,
Of streams and dogs and breezes,
Of thoughts of where I've been.
If you've heard the symphony of nature,
You know how beautiful it is.
If you ever hear it call you,
Don't hold back, but go with it.
