In the Dark, Dark Night

In the Dark, Dark Night

A Chapter by Debbie Barry

Written in 8th grade, a poem about night.

In the Dark, Dark Night

Moths flutter, snakes slither,
Winds rustle, crickets chirp,
Men snore, children giggle,
Weasels slink, owls fly,
Lights glare, machines roar,
Ladies nibble, cats howl,
Creatures sleep, flowers die,
And Miracles happen,
In the dark, dark night.
