A Chapter by Debbie Barry

Written in 9th grade. A love poem.

Glowing like moonlight,
Warm as the sun,
With ancient sweetness,
Young hearts are won.
Fresh as the springtime,
Calm of the moon,
Since time's first beginnings,
Many things hath it borne.
Innocent intentions,
Peace with the world,
These things and others,
Unite with this word.
Love that is glowing,
Love that is warm,
Love in its sweetness,
Saves us from the storm.
Protection from anger,
Protection from fear,
Protection from evils,
As long as you're near.
True love cannot wither,
True love cannot die,
True love still endureth,
In true lovers' eyes.
