Again an Alien

Again an Alien

A Chapter by Debbie Barry

Written in 10th grade, a poem about alienation.

Again an Alien

January 16, 1985

Once alone,
Once apart,
Lost and lone,
In my own world.

Then becoming
Part of all;
Joy was coming,
And friends for me.

Now alone,
Now apart,
Separate from friends
With a broken heart.
