Reconsideration

February 15, 1985

I was angry,
I was hurt,
I didn't think
About your feelings.

I thought that you
Had betrayed me,
But now I see
It was my fault too.

I couldn't see
Past my own feelings;
All I could feel
Was your betrayal.

But maybe tou didn't
Betray my feelings;
Maybe you didn't
Break our trust.

I see that I
Caused pain for you;
I made your life
Quite difficult.

Now I find
That your cruelty
Was not really
What it seemed.

I was wrong
And now am sorry;
I judged you
So unfairly.

I said I could not
Forgive your actions,
Now forgive me
For my unfairness.
