Helpless

A Chapter by Debbie Barry
"

A poem. The angst was not over.

Helpless

Why?
Why me again?
Why us?
Why are we
What we are?
Why can't I understand?
I think,
And worry.
And fear
All that which is
Around me.
I love,
And trust,
And care for those
Close to me.
But everyone is hurt.
And there is nothing
I can do.
