Jess and Jim

Jess and Jim

A Poem by Debbie Barry
"

A scrap of new nursery rhyme that drifted into my head in the night.

"

Jess and Jim

Jess and Jim Corey, they thresh’d corn,

Each was a trusty boy;

They work’d hard on their father’s land,

They were their mother’s joy.

Initial reactions and constructive criticism welcome. This is meant to resemble a traditional nursery rhyme.
