Hunting Dinosaurs

A Poem by Debbie Barry
"

A nursery rhyme about the dreams of one of my cats.

Hunting Dinosaurs

When the Pretty, Precious Princess

For small dinosaurs did stalk;

She crept to the bird feeder,

And one flapp’d wings, and it did squawk.

So on it she tried to pounce.

From the Pretty, Precious Princess,

With a swoop and startl’d “Coo!”

All the feather’d dinosaurs

Flew away from her that sad day,

And the Princess just said, “Mew!”
