Froggy Weather

Froggy Weather

A Poem by Debbie Barry
"

I had some down time in the hospital, so I wrote nursery rhymes. Here's one about a frog and the weather.

"

Froggy Weather

Froggy peep’d out of his log to see

What sort of a day it was going to be.

Dark was the sky, with clouds hanging low,

So Froggy out of his log did not go.

Froggy peep’d out of his log to see

What sort of a day it was going to be.

Raindrops were falling down on his pond,

Froggy stay’d in; of rain ‘twas not so fond.

Froggy peep’d out of his log to see

What sort of a day it was going to be.

The wind, it did blow, so very strong,

Froggy decided he’d not last too long.

Froggy peep’d out of his log to see

What sort of a day it was going to be.

The sun was shining; the bugs did play;

Froggy sat on his lily pad that day!
