Freedom's Distain

Freedom's Distain

A Poem by Donald
"

Look at what we have in store if our rights are stripped away and more.

"
News is biased,
by what sells the best,
politician are bothered,
by what plagues their rest.

Being freedom born,
you have much to morn,
from what life gives,
being neatly shorn.

Of what liberty may not share,
with others who do not care,
to steal from the poor,
they surely dare.

Wealth is what they crave,
ripped from the earth,
or a common cave,
this is what they truly save.

Denied by what someone can give,
denied from the right to live,
a dangerous lie,
denied by unseeing eyes.

Liberty is what we seek,
for others see us as meek,
lost forever up the creek,
before they can reach their peak.

Never acting upon certain cares,
is a life to win,
if you truly dare,
in full view of their unending states.

The rich may think they are born to rule,
but all they do is act cruel,
left to their own,
they simply drool.

Of golden trinkets,
they wish to dream,
then they sit to scheme,
then to suck the cream.

Idols line their path to hell,
where they arrive after a spell,
of riches they had,
or of tales to tell.
