Holly Leaves
And Christmas Trees

 My tree is up
Lights twinkling so bright
with ornimants from over the years
yet with in my heart there shines no lite



Tis the season of giving
yet under my tree is bare
no gifts for the grandbabies
I will have this year



I am told bad things happen
to good people
but this blow upon my life
has caused me to crumble



For so many things in life
there is no answer as to why
Lord give me the strength
for now all I can do is sit and cry



My total joy in Christmas
is my Savior in me living
and to my grandchildren
a simple gift of giving.



Half of my joy has been
stripped of my ability to give
but they can not rob my Savior
which in me will always live



To sit safe in my home
during this Christmas Season
of me this has been taken
for no apparent reason.



Oh Christmas
why were you taken from me
and Why can I not see
