The River of Life and Faith

 

 

 
Well in my thoughts
of a New Year write
I have been tossing around
in my head and heart all week
and not being sure where
I wanted to go with it
I started a search of my music
to see what would trigger my muse.
Then I ran across this song
by Garth who seems to speak
to me quite alot here lately,
but the more I listened
to this song the more
I could relate to it
Then I remembered a picture
I had taken some years ago
and they just seem
to fit together

 

This picture is of what appears to be
a never ending path of protected waters
of an unknown destination.
It dawned on me that no matter
where it leads I still have to sail it.
I have to go down my destined path
that God has laid out for me trusting
and knowing that He will place me
where He needs me to be.
That I can not look at the
unsuccessful aspects of my life
as a failure,
but as a learning experience
and that I probably have so much
more learning to do.



So this river of life that I sail upon
is my destiny. Where it ends?
Well only He knows... I just have
to continue trusting and having faith
in the Captain of this ship I sail upon
knowing He will not let me fail.
Stumble and fall yes, but never fail.



So with those thoughts
I wish each of you
smooth sailing this next year.
Know that He is with
each of us every day...
We just need to have faith...

My friend this was beautiful as always. So many truths. Sometimes it is hard to sail that river
but it is not as hard when we know that we have Dear Friends that are standing in faith
beside us when the water gets rough.
