Our Flag
And
The Pledge We Make

The Pledge is not just a bunch of
pretty words. It is what it says
'A Pledge... A Commitment' to our
country that our forefathers
founded on the principle
of simple trust in God!' and
now because there are those that
are offended by God it is going to be
done away with or at best altered.
If my pledge or my mention
of God offends you then step
out of the room/stadium.
But do not strip not just my beliefs
but my heritage and customs away.

Our flag I hold very dear. While
you may feel it to be your right of
expression to burn it the thoughts
of such a disrespectful act makes me
shudder. That Flag is our country and
before you take a match to it
or attempt to abolish it
why not just leave?
That flag has draped so many...
too many coffins of our returning heroes
and is all a mother/wife has to cling to.
So please remember it is not just a piece
of material .... It is the soul of this
awesome country we call home.

When I look at our flag the stars
represent the very same ones that
watch over each of us from the
heavens and guide ships across
the sea and soldiers across foreign soils.

The blue represents the sea and skies
that has carried our brave military
to far away lands and then back home
to welcoming shores.

The red represents
the blood that has been shed for hundreds
of years to preserve our freedom and the
passion I have for my country.

The white represents
the pure love God showers on each of us,
believers and non-believers,
each and every day.

And yet there are those who wish to have
it all abolished. The Knights of Columbus are
the ones responsible for having 'Under God'
added to our pledge and to have that
removed will be a tragic tragic loss.
I am but one person but trust me
I will be heard loud and clear...
MY GOD
MY COUNTRY
MY FLAG
