What Do Ya Say
This reflection showing back to me
Is not what I have seen before
The eyes are tired with no spark left
I fear Mother Nature has settled the score
But my heart still dances
and playfully sings
The inner me still yearns
the same as in past Springs
This heart yearns
to release what has yet been told
What burns just beneath the skin
I pray never to grow cold.
I so fear to never
be given the chance
To reach out to him
for that life long dance
I fear I have lived beyond my Spring
That burning love will remain within
Never being given the chance.
To walk my life alone as it's always been
There is so much hurt to over come
so much fear of repeated pain
Could love over power the fear
Could love grow in the heart again
One thing is for sure time that remains
is so much less than at the start
What is there to lose, but now wasted days
What do you say to chance'n on this heart
Oh my little furry friend
with the ever attentive listening ear
You think he will hear my pleas
and willingly calm my fear...

What do I say... I say age is a state of mind... it is easy to look in the mirror and allow what we see to effect how we feel, mainly cause that is how society teaches us... that once you get older there is nothing but memories... truth is as long as the heart is beating then you can chase dreams and act out fantasies.
