broken heart

Time seems to pass so slowly,

My heart, it does feel heavy

Lonely and sad i want to scream.

In the absence of you.

 

Let this terrible pain stop,

I don't want to think.

Please let me sleep.

In the absence of you

 

I cry out with love

No one to here my cry's

I pace in lost desperation.

In the absence of you.

 

Pounding the pillows,

where have you gone.

How could you be so cruel.

In the absence of you.

Loss is a difficult topic on which to write and/or comment. I always feel nothing I can say seems quite right or good enough to comfort someone feeling that awful pain. The repeated final line added emphasis and worked well for you in this poem, Doreen. I hope you are not in this place at the moment. Sharon
