Change

Change

A Poem by Eli.Klinger
"

An expression on how the society and world we live in today is on a destructive path and there are very few who seem to care and wish to change.

"
An apocalypse softly spoken,
The last stand has been broken,
The fleeting dreams of the people go unheard,
A desperate cry,
Answered by an unknown reply,
The wars shall go unending,
The despair and injustice shall go without appeal,
Those lost without hope shall stagger into the Never,
The last of us being tasked with life,
Find it only to be filled with strife,
Pain echoes from within,
Each breath draws shorter and shorter,
The value of life shall become nothing more than a valued token,
There shall be nothing left to last.

@Rasputin The first line ' An apocalypse softly spoken ' is meant to represent how the world that we live is slowly destroying itself without any means to repair it and few seem to care. Also I agree with you about human nature I worded it wrong. Thanks for the reviews

Personally, I don't think human nature has changed one bit. It's every man for himself- always has been, always will be. An apocalypse-type situation would just that fact make harder to hide. Anywho, I liked this one. It does a good job of expressing the hopelessness of such an existence.
