Jellybaby

Jellybaby

A Poem by T.C Matthews

Your jellybaby has a glow even though it has wearied it’s time and was discarded carelessly in the dark of the garbage hole. But have faith and inject some pride because it’s a jellybaby not a mere jellybean. Gamble your trust for it to crawl it’s way into glory. Oh, before it’s struggles for you. Stake this fact within your brain that your mother was a tiny jellybaby, who crawled out of the gutter with the marks of a survivor.

I wrote this one a while ago. I was sad and wanted to write something silly yet meaningful to me. I'm fond of it so I thought I would share it here.
