Playing A Guitar is a delicate matter you must get into
Using your fingers to intricately make it do what you want it to.
There's many opportunities to make it vibrate and sing.
Many different ways to sound it off, bringing it to a climax.
You must be subtle at times, with the ever so gentle touch.
Other times let it rip, giving all you've got, and twice as much.
Feel the strings in your finger tips, the smoothness of their ring!
Feel the hearbeat of each one vibrating all over, through your hands.
Let the guitar become you, and you become that box.
Sound off all that is in you through your hard knocks.
Each fret, each note, all that you feel, all you explore.
Slide up and down the board, the smoothness or your axe.
It will never fail your pleasure, if you treat it right.
Pleasant sounds you will find, so many that are out of sight!
If you treat it with respect, what it demands of you.
But you must learn to listen to what it's body is telling you.
So, pick up your guitar tonight. Play it, play on!
Play with it until you can't no more. Play it all night long!
You'll know when you hit it right, without any doubt.
Because smiles, and a glowing finish is all you'll see.
