Rainbow of Love

Rainbows show us light

As it really exists

Not as a single white

But as a series of colors

Shining vividly upon the earth

There is no color

In the dark

We infer it from memory

We even dream 

In black and white

Our heart is the light

Of our inner world

Shining love

Adding color

Separating into compassion

For every living creature

As Christ commanded

We worship the Divine best

By bringing the rainbow of love

To the lonely heart
