Odin

Odin

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Odin

Odin rules like Athena

In a realm of the Male

He is passion and poetry

And a love undiscovered

His is the way of rebirth

Odin gave an eye for wisdom

Yet was that wise

When the world

Looms around us

Odin is the scream of the dying warrior

Breaking through Valhalla’s Gates

Odin is the power of death

Releasing from the old

Odin sends us poetry

From a valley far away

By way of a train of dwarfs

Passing our general direction

Odin is the power of the Divine

Comes toward us at the speed of light

Fills our consciousness

With the joy of release from the old

Odin builds an army for Ragnarok

To fight for Heaven’s desires

Will blood sacrifice be required?

Perhaps a sacrifice of Love instead

Odin helps us make wise decisions

He tells me what the Divine desires

He rules the shaman

He aids the artist weave her magic

Odin is a giant and an ox

He has an eight legged horse

Who travels between dimensions

Brings us our just rewards

Odin is seductive

His power is unfulfilled potential

He is the flowers of the field in June

Without autumn’s whispers

In Her shadows

Odin has the wisdom to rule

Without the determination

To continue the search

We sit content as our goal drifts

But the exhale must end
