Sacrifice

Sacrifice

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Sacrifice

My power is accentuated
By my creativity
And joy in life
Intuition controls
My Conscious thoughts
Passion to express
Rules my Subconscious

I’ve worked hard
To learn balance
So I can bring
Peace to my heart
Pride in Self requires
That I behave honestly
No matter what anyone thinks

Emotional cleansing
Surrounds me
I fear the Change I long for
Although I accept
Change is Inevitable
Time to drag that
Tiger of dissatisfaction
Up the hill

To be sacrificed
For the Good
Of the All
Blessed be

man...i really like this one ..it is so easily read as a prayer ... recognition of intuition, passion and wisdom to seek a balance is fantastic ...i find your second verse particularly strong and inspiring .. there is substance to this poem ..read it twice just to get the juice ;)

Great imagery, metaphor and word use. The narrator is strong in their purpose and beliefs. Love "drag that tiger "of dissatisfaction up the hill. I know that tiger well! Well done!
